Dell Home Systems Redesign
Objective:
E-commerce site redesign for selling
computer systems geared to home and small office use. The goal:
increase
online sales.
Challenges:
Create a new, more integrated look and feel within a rigid pre-existing
style
template. Design to 800 pixel wide standard but manage content layout so
it
would also be optimized for older, 600 pixel wide monitors.
Approach:
Design for scanning improve usability and readability. Focus design
on
primary images and titling. Softly integrate the content area into
navigation boarder and highlight the product through effective use of
white
space.
Results:
$800,000 PER DAY sustained increase in online sales.
